THE CREATION PROCESS
It takes several days to perfect one mat and may even take longer due to the lengthy process of plant dying and drying the yarn in the rainy reason. First, the yarn is spun from organic cotton and an Ayurvedic herbal dye is prepared to create each colour. Once dyed, the cotton is washed and dried naturally. From here, a skilled artisan uses both his bare hands and a traditional handloom to delicately craft a yoga mat, before applying a natural rubber layer on the base to ensure the mat grips to the floor.

We are eternally grateful that we are able to access these remote villages and bring these pieces of art to our modern world to facilitate our connection to self, yoga practice and the divine. Our continued support of these villages allows them to stay living in the villages with their wives, children and communities, continuing their traditional ways of living, rather than needing to travel hours into big cities to seek out work that does not align with their souls purpose. Their artisan skills are utilised to provide their source of income with the preservation of this art. - Hand wash with a mild natural soap or detergent. The ideal is soapnuts, which are dried berries of the soapberry plant that produce a gentle cleaning lather.
- Dry in shade and keep out of direct sunlight, as this can cause fading.
- Avoid storing in plastic bags or boxes. It is best to keep fabrics breathing and stored in natural wood boxes or cloth bags.

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and honestly, this is the best mat I’ve ever used.
At first, I was a little worried that the grip might not be enough, but once I started practicing, the subtle texture supported my body beautifully and allowed me to deepen my poses with confidence. The fact that it’s fully washable is also a big plus for me.

The most gorgeous mat I have ever used 😍 I am absolutely in love with this yoga mat. From the moment I unrolled it, I could feel the difference. The grip is incredible, no slipping, even in longer holds, and the cushioning feels supportive without being too soft.
One of the things I appreciate most is that it’s made with organic, non-toxic dyes and natural materials. As a yoga teacher, that matters to me. It feels good to practise on something that aligns with my values and is gentle on the earth and my body.
